Ferocious Style

Panther Flop Clutch

Hot pink, polka dots and panthers.  A vicious combination from Canadian label, Punchanella.

When design meets texture, it's an experience worth having.  Fabric prints that are part of chic aesthetics are combined with designs that are convenient and useful. Organization, fashion, and function are the marks of this young brilliant designer.

Everyone needs items like this. Why shouldn't they be fabulous on top of functional?

'I design for the woman who runs from a sales meeting, to a business dinner, and back home in time for bedtime stories with her kids. That woman is amazing, and my inspiration.', East says.  What's next for her?  Two new lines she's very excited about.  Home decor and jewelry.

Tactual Bliss

Bijouxbead's Jewels

Delicate as it may seem, Darlene Martin's works are acclaimed as 'tactile'.  Capable of being touched, in layman's term.  Patrons attest they experience felicity when wearing these opulent creations from Canada.

If you're thinking hers is just another piece of jewelry to add in your chock-full collection, think again.  Every ensemble is one-of -a-kind and named individually.

Today, I vote for the 'Artist's Brush'.

High-Fab for Mother Nature

Sustainable Clothing

Environmentally-friendly.  It's the 21st century's new black.

We see, read and hear about it.  But what does being 'eco-friendly' actually entails?  The yardstick is clear and simple.  It has to have minimal or absolutely no harmful impact on our environment.

Cloud9's handmade couture is true to the essence of earthly kindness.   Isn't it so fitting that her signature design is that of an angel's wings?

I bet mother nature is giving her the high-fives.

Lotus Tee

Lotus, a symbol of purity.  Since ancient times, it has been a divine symbol in many eastern traditions.  Everything about is edible and usable.

Dried flower heads are widely sought for decorative purposes, and various parts of it is used for herbal medicines.  Petals are used as garnish, leaves as food wraps, stems dried as tea and roots as soup ingredients (must be thoroughly cooked, please don't eat it raw).

One of nature's heavenly handiwork indeed, and Rekha's design application is undeniably divine.

The Summer Line

Sizzling Stripes
Stripes, an icon of interminable style.  It's timeless look has survived the latest fad's short-lived fame.  For her spring and summer collection, Erika Hendrix's portrayal of these celebrated streaks takes us beyond the usual nautical theme.

None of the assuming fitted tops, trousers and shorts.  Loose, airy, yet sensual clothing is what you'll see.  Casual, comfy and trendy are the marks of this self-made designer.

Hendrix's design ingenuity is unequivocally top of the line.

Irresistible Treat

Crinkle Necklace

It is one of the world's most popular dessert.  Crinkles.  A perfect name for deliciously soft, fudge like confection.

If there was an Iron Chef for metalsmithing, it will be Stephanie Blackman.  Her recipe begins with pureness of form, vibrant colors of gemstones and her desire to create timeless designs.  She then tops it off with her passion for creating beauty and perfection in every form and texture.

This is one sweet treat I'll definitely indulge in, sans the fat.

Bare and Beautiful

Belgian Contemporary Designs
Perfect planes, purity and simplicity.  Terms that encompass 'Minimalism'.  True advocates of this discipline actuate the careful consideration of void spaces left by the removal of certain features in a design.

A concept so skillfully adapted by Marcus Marguillier, a seasoned graphic designer and classical ballet dancer from Belgium.  The clean lines and simple forms in his designs come from his acumen of art and body-movement.

An absolute instance that 'less is great'.

Need we say more?

Sleek Splendor

Hand painted Silks

Only mother nature can produce fibers with prism-like structures that allow incoming light to refract at different angles.  This is how silk achieves it's lustrous appearance.

It's daintiness can be intimidating for inexperienced hands.  Janine Mave from North Carolina knows exactly how to turn this delicate cloth into fine pieces of functional art.  Handpainted scarves, hand bags, pillows and sun hats are just few of her masterly creations.

One reason why other insects envy silkworms - they're fashionable.

Blown Away

FormFire's Propeller Necklace

A propeller's efficiency is determined by thrust x axial speed over resistance x rotational speed.  Sound too scientific?  Wait 'til you try it with glass.

Only an architect with masters degree and fifteen years of lampwork and jewelry design can pull such intricate combination.  When operating in its best regime, a well-designed propeller typically has an efficiency of around 80%.

Formfire's lampwork discs sure has 100% vogue prowess.

Beauty of Black Diamonds

Gems from Germany
Three years ago, scientists discovered the surprising origin of the mysterious black diamonds.  Report says it came from outer space, since not one was discovered from the world's mining fields.

These matching earrings and pendant are not the real deal.  But designer Sandra's take on the precious 'black diamonds' is still worthy to be prized.  We all agree.

In New York, you'll find the best brew of cocktail in America.  Not the sip that will tumble your ice-cubed body this winter.  Nor the one you can order in an opulent bar.

Think: 14 karat gold filled wire with fresh water pearls, and drops of small red coral seeds for elegance.  Served up in your finger.  Garnished with lustrous amethyst stone on the center.

Get me one please.
